Gronkowski Will Not Walk Away to Act this Season

After losing the Super Bowl in a bit of heartbreak Rob Gronkowski might have been quick to raise doubt in his coming back to the NFL next season. The Patriots lost to the Eagles in one of the more memorable games of late. Both offenses combined to accumulate the most yards of any Super Bowl.

After the game Gronk pointed to injuries as a main reason why he may step away from a game that he still dominates when healthy. There is no doubt that he will go down in NFL history as one of the games greatest tight ends to ever haul it in. Even given his latest string of injuries he has proven he can bounce back and continue to produce. That fact alone is why most speculated he would strap up the pads for at least another year.

Possible alternate career moves Gronkowski has on the table include wrestling with the WWE along with hulking into Hollywood. These options are not unlike what Ronda Rousey, the UFC fighter who dominated the sport before colliding down to earth, has done of late.

I would go on record to say that I believe Gronk would be a perfect fit for the big screen in the comedy genre. I could definitely see him teaming up with Brady and Seth MacFarlane for another Ted movie. Or something along those lines.

The reports coming out that he is expected to return don’t surprise many with knowledge of how American Football gears behind the scenes. Not many players walk away while still in or around their football prime. This doesn’t mean, however, that those other opportunites Rob G has on the table are now on the outs. We can wait a couple years for that level of entertainment takeover.
