Leading into this off-season, major changes are inevitably coming for the Broncos. The Quarterback position needs revamped, leading to speculation that Aqib Talib could be on the move. Talib has been a starter for all four years as a Bronco and after Bradley Roby was selected in the first round, I’m sure they are looking for any excuse to get Roby permanently into the starting lineup. Talib’s $11 million cap hit may be what Roby needs.
If the Broncos were to release or trade Talib this off-season, I would look for them to be strong players for a cornerback in day two of the draft. Some have Denver taking Minkah Fitzpatrick at fifth overall, though that depends heavily on whether or not the Broncos land a veteran Quarterback in free agency. That may be the spot the Broncos want to take a tackle in the draft regardless.
Let me know what you think of Denver’s off-season speculations this far.
